Happy 2017! It’s that time again, when we all say this is the year we’re going to really get organized. Right? This time I’m really going to do it. Back in November, the tags on my car expired. It was my own fault; it completely slipped my mind (not unlike other things these days). I learned I was driving on expired tags while in the car line one day. Someone’s sweet grandmother came up to my window and told me; shortly afterwards so did one of our teachers. DMV hadn’t sent me a reminder! I mean, we’re supposed to be that responsible?
I decided right then and there that I need a yearly checklist of the things that need to be done annually. Like doctors’ appointments and window washing. I have to write things down or they may not get done. And I prefer to do it the old fashioned way (paper).
I created this cute month-by-month booklet that can be saved and referred to year after year. How not cute would this be if it were in your phone?!?
There’s a page for each month with ample space to write tasks that occur each year (I write huge so I made the spaces extra large!).
Some examples on my lists include “buy Halloween costumes for kids” (September), “spring cleaning” (March), and “Botox” (as needed!). I printed the front and back covers on card stock and had them laminated at Office Depot. Then I 3-hole punched the booklet, inserted book rings (also Office Depot) and tied a turquoise tulle ribbon in the middle.
It’s so fun just to have lying on the kitchen counter because the colors are great! You can print the entire thing for free by clicking on this link: Yearly Checklist Printable . Or if you’d like to have your very own laminated copy like the one pictured above, click on Shop above and you can order one that’s already finished!
Happy Organizing!
